Mr. Bevis Gray along with his wife Tembi Gray are the founders of
 GMG Music Center located in Northeast Columbia. A graduate of
Claflin University, Mr. Gray works adamantly in the community as a
professional musician, entrepreneur (GMG Consulting Services),
music educator, composer, arranger, producer, consultant, and
music transcriber. Mr. Gray understands and believes that music is
a tool that can bring both families and communities together. He
works very diligently researching and developing effective means of
educating individuals about music.  He has played the piano for
many well known artists such as Vickie Winans, the Pace Sisters,
Lashaun Pace, Dorthy Norwood, Twinkie Clark and has shared the
stage with artists such as Vanessa Ruben, the Canton Spirituals,
Willie Neal, the Gospel Keynotes, and Ramsey Lewis. He is
passionate about performing, but there is nothing he loves more
than imparting knowledge and cultivating artistic creativity in the
lives of people both young and old.
CORE Tech Fitness Program
Conducted intermittently during class.  All teachers & children participate.
Tony Thomas is a recently retired Physical Education teacher.   Mr. Thomas earned his B.S. degree in Health & Physical Education from SC State University, and his Masters degree in Education from Cambridge College.   He spent 30 years teaching on all levels; elementary, middle, high, and three years on the college level.   Mr. Thomas was nominated "Teacher of the Year" in 1984 at W.A. Perry Middle School.  Mr. Thomas and his wife Brenda opened a martial arts training facility called "Tony Thomas Family Karate, Inc." in 1997 to teach self defense skills.   Most importantly their goal is to help students develop and improve in the areas of self-discipline, self control, focus, concentration, balance, coordination, and many other traits to help them achieve success.  He is also a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame.

Spanish - Joy Glover
Joy Glover has her Masters of Education in Languages from the College of Charleston. She has served as an ESOL Educator in Sumter School District 17 since 2004. Prior to assuming this position she taught Spanish classes at both the high school and middle school levels for four years. Her certifications include: SC ESOL Teacher Certification, SC Spanish Teacher Certification, and an Intermediate and Advanced Spanish Certificate from the Universidad de Granada in Granda, Spain. Most recently she has taught at the Univeristy of South Carolina in the Upward Bound program. Joy serves as the director of Bridges Educational Services which provides one-on-one tutoring, enrichment, and after school programs for students in various subjects by certified teachers.

Art Education - Jackie Dukes

Ms. Jackie Dukes is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina.  She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education.  Ms. Dukes is a member of the National Art Education Association and the South Carolina Art Education Association.  This is her first year teaching and she is super excited to start her teaching career at Carolina School for Inquiry. 
Ms. Dukes grew up in Newark, Delaware.  She has lived in Columbia, South Carolina for 10 years now.  She lives with her dog Virginia and cat Sophie in the Rosewood community.  She is currently engaged and plans on getting married May 22, 2010.  Since she can remember she has always enjoyed art.  Out of all the arts drawing is her favorite.  You can always find her doodling.   In her spare time Ms. Dukes likes to draw, walk, and read.
